Fire Kills Campaign for the COI
WÖNKY has been working with the CentraI Office of Information on their latest Fire Kills campaign. As well as developing a public service announcement for TV, we've helped animate their online game 'Rapid Fire - The Fire Kills Challenge' and online advertising.
The Adventures of T-Bot
WÖNKY are delighted to launch an innovative GPS-based animated adventure... The Adventures of T-Bot. We've been developing a unique mobile film experience of 'Movie on the Move' in collaboration with HP Labs and Bristol's Pervasive Media Studio thanks to funding from the Technology Strategy Board.
Educational Mobile Game
We have won Lottery Funding through South West Screen to develop a mobile film-based educational game for secondary schools. The GPS-based experience relates to Climate Change and is designed to be played on any outdoor football pitch. We'll be launching a beta version at this year's Cheltenham Science Festival.
WÖNKY competing at MIPTV's Content 360
WÖNKY are delighted to be one of the few finalists selected from 390 projects across 38 countries to pitch at MIPTV's global 'Content 360' commissioning competition. This cross-media ideas competition is sponsored by the BBC, KCC, MSN, National Film Board of Canada, GCC Joint Program Production Fund, Ogilvy Interactive and Unilever.
Our mission is to persuade the National Film Board of Canada to save the world by offering us their development fund for our interactive documentary idea on Climate Change. (Well, it is being held on April 1st).
Online Viral Series 'Suburban Myths' for Channel 4
WÖNKY were selected by Channel 4 to produce an online viral mini-series for their new animation website 4mations.tv. 'Suburban Myths' are short films decribing tall stories so unbelieveable they might just be true. The series will be launched as virals from 10th November to promote 4mations.tv.

CBBC Online Game 'Tag Team'
We've been working closely with Good Technology to bring you Tag Team, a new online game from CBBC that will be launching soon. It's given us an opportunity to illustrate and animate some of our our favourite characters from CBBC... Basil Brush, Shaun the Sheep, Tracy Beaker, Raven and Oucho. Get ready to play the game!

GPS-Based Film Experience

Pervasive Media - Video Sniffing
Following a Media Sandbox pitching session, WÖNKY has won a development grant from Bristol's Pervasive Media Studio. We'll be looking at the art of video sniffing in order to capture CCTV footage and transform it into Street Sport TV.
Encounters International Short Film Festival - Contentertainment
Once again WÖNKY organised and chaired the 'Contentertainment' strand at the Encounters International Short Film Festival. Contertertainment looks at the use of short films across different digital platforms. This year's theme was virtual worlds. The guests included the VP Creative Director of Nickelodeon UK, an author of the 'Dummy's Guides to Machinima' plus a producer from Rivers Run Red.
