The Adventures of T-Bot

WÖNKY are delighted to launch an innovative GPS-based animated adventure... The Adventures of T-Bot.  We've been developing a unique mobile film experience of 'Movie on the Move' in collaboration with HP Labs and Bristol's Pervasive Media Studio thanks to funding from the Technology Strategy Board.

Public Service Announcement for COI

WÖNKY has been working with the CentraI Office of Information on their latest Public Service Announcement for TV.  We've animated a short film on Fire Safety for the new Fire Kills campaign that is now out.  We also helped animate their online game 'Rapid Fire - The Fire Kills Challenge' and online advertising.

Short Film Series 'Suburban Myths' for Channel 4

WÖNKY were selected by Channel 4 to produce an online viral mini-series for their new animation website 4mations.tv.  'Suburban Myths' are short films decribing tall stories so unbelieveable they might just be true.  The series was launched as virals to promote 4mations.tv and the films have already been shown at the film festivals Encounters and Animated Exeter.  Check them out.

Why not also try 'Mr Suicide's Fishing Challenge', visit the 'Gun Shop Gallery', dodge 'Jilted Janet' or help our gun-ho granny 'Whack-a-Chav' in the Suburban Myths game?  Play now.

Educational Mobile Game

We have won Lottery Funding through South West Screen to develop a mobile film-based educational game for secondary schools.  The GPS-based experience relates to Climate Change and is designed to be played on any outdoor football pitch.  We'll be launching a beta version at this year's Cheltenham Science Festival.

A Spanish Adventure for T-Bot

WÖNKY have been invited by UK Trade & Investment Bilbao to present our work at Animabasque, a one day Animation seminar held during the Animabasauri Festival.  We've been selected to pitch our Movies on the Move pilot 'The Adventures of T-Bot' to the Spanish animation market at the prestigious Euskalduna Congress Hall in Bilbao.

But you don't have to go all the way to Spain to see the T-Bot trailer

CBBC Online Game 'Tag Team'

We've been working closely with Good Technology to bring you 'Tag Team', a new online game from CBBC that launched this autumn.  It's given us an opportunity to illustrate and animate some of our our favourite characters from CBBC... Basil Brush, Shaun the Sheep, Tracy Beaker, Raven and Oucho.  Have a go at playing the game!

Stop Motion Animation for Contemporary Visual Art Installation

This summer we worked with the artist Ryan Gander on an art installation incorporating claymation.  Miki has been busy designing and bringing to life plasticine versions of characters ranging from Spike Milligan to the Lumiere Brothers.  Meanwhile Richard Briers provides the narration, questioning the intentions of the work.  It will be premiered at this year's Whitstable Biennale, Festival of Contemporary Visual Art.

WÖNKY win South West Screen Convergence Alliance Funding

We were chuffed as nuts to discover we'd won funding through the SWS Convergence Alliance Scheme.  Our project will enable us to develop a cross-platform ad-funded series with the help of Indie Mobile and Jam Factory.

Here's a sneak preview of the wonderful world of Cyberia
