Background:  

Race Across America is a documentary following the solo British cyclist Jim Rees as he attempts to break the UK record for 'the world's toughest event', the transcontinental 3000 mile Race Across America.

Brief: 

Create an animated map to fit a 30 sec section of audio describing the route of the race. 

Solution:         

The graphics were designed to reflect the varied terrains of America's landscape at each of the key time stations along the Race Across America.  These were then brought to life using a pop-up style of animation.
